Refund Policy

At Shaker, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Refund Policy describes the conditions under which we issue refunds for subscriptions and other services purchased on shakerapp.ai. All payments are processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record.

1. AI Platform Subscriptions (Launch, Pro, Early Bird)

1.1 Eligible for Refund

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You are a first-time subscriber (not a renewal)
  • You request the refund within 7 calendar days of the initial purchase
  • You have not consumed any AI credits or used any AI generation features during the subscription
  • You have not exported source code or published any project

1.2 Not Eligible for Refund

No refund will be issued if:

  • AI credits have been consumed (even partially) for any generation, tool, or feature
  • The request is made after 7 days from the purchase date
  • The subscription is a renewal of a previous subscription
  • The subscription was purchased during a promotional or discounted campaign (e.g. Early Bird), unless the Service was not delivered
  • The account has been suspended due to a violation of our Terms of Service

1.3 Renewals

Subscription renewals are not refundable. You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date to avoid future charges. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

2. AI Tools — Business Plan, Reels, Logo, Presentations, Brandbook

Access to AI tools is granted as part of an active subscription. Tool usage consumes credits from your plan balance.

  • Credits consumed by tool usage are non-refundable once an AI generation has started, regardless of the output quality.
  • If a tool fails due to a confirmed server-side error on our end, we will restore the consumed credits within 3 business days upon verified request.
  • We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or commercial suitability of AI-generated outputs (business plans, videos, logos, etc.).

3. Hosting Plans (Starter, Growth, Scale)

3.1 Monthly Hosting

Monthly hosting subscriptions are billed in advance. No refund is issued for any portion of the current billing month once the hosting has been provisioned and your site is live. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the current billing period.

3.2 Annual Hosting

If you cancel an annual hosting subscription, you are eligible for a pro-rated refund for the remaining full months not yet used, subject to the following:

  • Cancellation must be requested within 90 days of the annual purchase
  • Refund amount = (remaining full months / 12) × annual price paid
  • No refund for the current month at the time of cancellation request

3.3 Service Interruption

In the event of unplanned downtime exceeding 24 consecutive hours caused by our infrastructure, we will issue service credits (not cash refunds) proportional to the downtime. Credits will be applied to your next billing cycle.

We are not liable for downtime caused by: third-party provider outages (cloud infrastructure, DNS providers), DDoS attacks, force majeure events, or actions taken to enforce our Terms of Service.

4. One-Time Purchases

Additional credit top-ups and one-time purchases are non-refundable once the credits have been applied to your account, as they are consumable digital goods delivered immediately upon purchase.

5. Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to resolve the issue constitutes a violation of this Policy. Accounts with active chargebacks will be suspended pending resolution. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and reporting to fraud prevention services.

6. How to Request a Refund

Please include in your request:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your Paddle Order ID (found in your payment receipt)
  • A brief description of the reason for the refund request

We process refund requests within 5 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Paddle. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with our response to your refund request, you may contact Paddle directly as the Merchant of Record at paddle.com. Consumer protection rights in your jurisdiction are not affected by this Policy.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or Platform notice with at least 14 days' advance notice. The version of the Policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your transaction.
